An indie studio with a cold streak
Founded in 2016, Frozebyte is a team of 40 developers, artists, and storytellers spread across Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Started in a garage. Still driven by the same question.
Frozebyte began in 2016 when four friends quit stable jobs to build the game they always wanted to play. Nine years later we've shipped five titles to more than 12 million players — and we still greenlight ideas the same way: does it give us chills?
We stay small on purpose. Small enough that every person shapes the game, big enough to ship on the biggest platforms. No publishers dictating our vision, no crunch-fueled death marches — just teams who love the craft, building worlds that last.
Three rules we don't break
They're not on a poster in the break room — they're in every decision we make, from the first prototype to the final patch.
Players first
Every design decision starts with one question: will this make the moment-to-moment better?
Craft over crunch
Great games come from healthy teams. We ship on sustainable timelines, not on burnout.
Own the risk
We back bold, weird ideas — the kind big studios won't touch — and see them through.
The people behind the pixels
